Chief Diversity Officer and Vice President, Multicultural Strategy / Hallmark

Philip Polk is multicultural consumer strategy vice president at Hallmark Cards, Inc. Mr. Polk leads a team responsible for leveraging multicultural consumer and shopper insights to assist the development of targeted, relevant retailer strategies and products. His team focuses on multicultural, LGBTQIA and millennial segments, as well as new offerings for additional consumer opportunities. He fosters corporate partnerships to establish meaningful connections with these customer groups. Phil joined Hallmark in 2016, bringing nearly 20 years of marketing leadership experience to his current role. Prior to Hallmark, he founded his own consulting practice, Polk & Associates, and served in a variety of marketing leadership roles of increasing responsibility for Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts, Cox Communications and PM3 Advertising. Mr. Polk developed and implemented marketing strategies and tactics for the African-American and Latino segments to profitably grow Walt Disney World guest attendance, and created the Disney Dreamers Academy, a mentorship program aimed at young people of color hosted by Steve Harvey. In addition, he served as executive vice president and general manager for PM3, the largest Hispanic advertising agency in Georgia. Phil has received multiple cable industry advertising awards for his work.
