Journalists, academics and students interested in understanding the profound changes in journalism over the last 20 years are invited to attend an international symposium in Brasilia, Brazil.

The symposium, titled "Structural Changes in Journalism" will feature researchers from France, Canada and Chile, among others. It is organized by the communications department of the University of Brasilia along with Université de Rennes in France and others, including the Networks for Studies in Journalism (YEN).

Experts will examine topics such as new journalism practices; the economic model of news organizations; how news is presented and constructed; training and access to the job market; regulation and ethical codes of the profession and relating to readers.
