2014 Holiday Benefit

On December 9th, 2014 BMA NYC hosted a Holiday Benefit Party at Lightbox with companies like IBM, GE, American Express, Google, LinkedIn, Ogilvy, Forbes, Wall Street Journal, and many more. A portion of the proceeds were donated to Year Up, an organization that empowers low-income young adults to go from poverty to professional careers in a single year.

On September 17th the BMA NYC hosted the BMA14 Regional Conference Series: Connect to Tomorrow at Future Perfect. Discussed was how the breakneck pace of evolutionary and revolutionary change in marketing is not slowing down. Even as marketers get up to speed, the pace quickens further. “Future Perfect,” was an up-close look at the near-term trends, technologies and generational shifts that will be the difference makers over the next 5 years.

Trust is an asset that enterprises must understand and properly manage in order to be successful in today’s complex operating environment. Unlike reputation, which is based on an aggregate of past experiences with a company or brand, trust is a forward facing metric of stakeholder expectation.  The 2014 Edelman Trust Barometer is the firm’s 14th annual exploration of trust. The firm surveyed 33,000 people (27,000 General Public and 6,000 Informed Public respondents) in 27 markets around the world on their trust in institutions, credible sources/channels and specific issues and perceptions impacting trust in business and government.  The 2014 survey found an historic gap between trust in business and government, with business having a trust advantage in 21 of 27 markets.  We’ll discuss how we as business-to-business marketers can cultivate trust among our key stakeholders.

The night started at Arlene's Grocery around 6:30PM to hear "Hawk & Dove" a local Brooklyn band perform live. The a night of music from 5 other bands (6 different sets in total). After their set, Hawk and Dove agreed to stop by next door at Epstein's Bar to share their story on how they use social media to widen their footprint in the music landscape, and engage with their fans when not on stage. Arlene's Grocery social media guru shared the ways and reasons he employs social media to benefit Arlene's which has managed to stay revelant and popular since opening their doors in 1995. They have and continue to feature some of the best up-and-coming local bands over the past 2 decades. Admission covered a ticket to hear all 6 bands + drinks and appetizers.

2012 ACE Awards Presentation Ceremony

The annual ACE Awards Presentation Ceremony was held April 18, 2012 at the Edison Ballroom. A cocktail reception with open bar and a large selection of hors d’oeuvres began at 6:00pm. The awards presentations were given over dinner.
