On October 17th, the Business Marketing Association’s NYC young professional group, the BMA:FWD, held an event at one of the Lower East Side's prominent music venues, Arlene's Grocery. Members listened as up and coming bands participated in the CMJ showcase including a performance from Brooklyn band, Hawk & Dove.
After the performance the group had the opportunity to hear some inside perspective on social and digital marketing within the music scene. The Social Media Marketing Director from Arlene’s Grocery shared key insights into his strategy to facilitate engagement with the attendees. He discussed his strategy to raise awareness of the venue and attract and retain new visitors into the venue.
The Hawk & Dove band members stopped by after their set to discuss how they leverage the various social media platforms to engage with their audience and drive retention. They discussed their strategy on Twitter and how they engage and leverage influencers to build a deeper connection with their core audience.
