Organized by the New England Center for Investigative Reporting (NECIR), spots are limited to six students per two-week session and held at Boston University. Sessions for 2011 will be held in June and July.

Applicants must demonstrate some experience with in-depth or investigative reporting for a newspaper, magazine, website or broadcast outlet and submit examples of their work.

During the course, journalists will improve their investigative reporting skills by working on a story that they can bring back to their media outlet. The total cost is $2,675 per person including room, tuition and some meals.
