Arab media contest open [MENA]
Deadline:
Staff and freelance journalists working for print, online or broadcast media outlets in the Arab region can submit entries.
The ICPD Arab Media Contest is launched by The United Nations Population Fund Arab States Regional Office(UNFPA) in collaboration with the Arab Press Union and the Egyptian Press Syndicate.
Journalists can submit written articles or an audio/video report about the Arab region. Possible topics include aging, demographics, family formation, the fertility plateau, gender-based violence, women’s rights and empowerment, maternal health, migration, environment and climate change and youth empowerment.
The contest is open for nationals from the following countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Djibouti, Somalia, Sudan, Oman, State of Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
The winner of each category will be invited to an ICPD-related event in 2014 with all fees covered.
The deadline is Aug. 1.
