Award available for journalists involved in brave human rights work
Deadline:
Journalists across the globe involved in human rights activities are eligible for a US$17,500 award from the Martin Ennals Foundation. Deadline for nominations: December 9.
Every year since 1993, the Martin Ennals Foundation has honored an individual who has demonstrated notable human rights work and who is in dire need of protection because of their work. This main objective of protection is mostly achieved through media attention, particularly in the country or region of origin of the winner.
Selection of the winning candidate is made by a jury of representatives from some of the world’s most active human rights organizations including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.
