Journalists of regional and federal Russian media can participate in this contest.

The Russian Union of Journalists is accepting applications for the Tamerlan Kazihanov Award for Courage and Professionalism. The prize, established in 2006, is awarded to journalists who have exhibited an exception dedication to the profession in difficult circumstances.

Candidates must work for news organizations in the republics, regions, provinces and autonomous areas of the Russian Federation.

Entries must be in Russian and published or broadcast between November 1, 2011 and November 15, 2012.

The winner will receive a diploma.

The deadline is December 1.
