The American Society for Biology (ASM) is seeking nominations for its 2009 Public Communications Award, which honors authors that have made information concerning the microbiological sciences readily available to the general public using mass media. Deadline for nominations is January 31, 2009.

Winners will be awarded a US$2,500 cash prize, a commemorative plaque, and travel expenses to attend the ASM General Meeting for presentation of the award.

International entries are accepted but must be translated into English before submission.
