Print, electronic, and visual journalists worldwide are invited to apply for the Excellence in Media Award for Global Health, held by the Global Health Council. Deadline: January 30.

The award, aimed at drawing attention to health issues that have a global impact, is offered in four categories: print publications; broadcast and new media; photojournalism; and community media.

Works must have been published or broadcast between February 1, 2007 and February 1, 2008. Submissions must be in English, but entries may be made by foreign-based individuals or organizations.
