Journalists who are fluent in English and Sinhala can apply for this position in London.

BBC Sinhala is seeking a translator/presenter to take part in the preparation, production and presentation of current affairs and feature programs.

The successful candidate will also translate news bulletins and despatches, perform in front of the microphone with a script and conduct pre-recorded interviews under the direction of the program producer.

Applicants should have complete comprehension of spoken and written English and a full command of the Sinhala language. Candidates should also have a thorough understanding of news and current affairs in Sri Lanka, as well as knowledge of, and interest in, international and British current affairs.
