BBC Urdu is seeking a multimedia producer to help create high-quality video, audio and text content.

The successful candidate will work in close coordination with BBC journalists in the United Kingdom, Pakistan and India, ensuring that top-quality standards of production are maintained. The producer will also play a pivotal role in encouraging the audience to contribute citizen journalism and user-generated content.

Applicants should have relevant, recent experience as a broadcast journalist or producer, and show a particularly good understanding of the technical aspects of video output. Candidates should also have a solid understanding of the region’s news and current affairs, as well as its history, politics, socio-cultural issues and the changing needs of the audience.
