Radio and television journalists in the United States are eligible for this award.

The National Press Foundation is seeking applications for the Sol Taishoff Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism.

The award is given to an active broadcaster for a body of quality work in video or audio journalism. The award may recognize an individual's accomplishment in field reporting, producing, writing or work at the anchor desk. Applications for this award are accepted or members of the awards committee can make nominations.

Applications are only accepted online. Applicants should include a short biography in the form of a Word document or PDF. The online application can be viewed here.

The deadline for applications is October 15.
