Financial and business journalists of the federal and regional Russian media can participate in this contest.

Citibank is seeking applicants for its annual independent Citi Journalistic Excellence Award 2013, which recognizes exceptional journalistic work that has contributed to sustainable development in financial and business journalism.

This year’s prize is awarded in two categories: "small business as a key factor for social and economic stability in Russia," and "economy and finance helping people”.

Accepted are entries published or broadcast between January 1 and December 31, 2012.

The jury will select three finalists in each category, whose work will progress to the elimination round at Columbia University in New York. The winners will get the opportunity to attend an eight-day advanced training course at the School of Journalism at the university in June 2013.

The deadline is February 22.
