The CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Competition is accepting applications. The deadline to apply is January  27.

The awards aim to reinforce the role of journalists in Africa's development and honor talent across all media disciplines. Finalists will attend a gala ceremony in Johannesburg in June. The winning journalist will receive an additional cash prize and a trip to the CNN Center in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States.

Applicants must be Africa nationals and professional journalists working in print, broadcast or online media. For more information, click here.
