Commission scrutinizes lack of cultural diversity in New Zealand media

New Zealand’s Human Rights Commission has released its annual overview, which says diversity continues to present challenges to the nation's media.
Joris de Bres, the race relations commissioner, says ethnic minority groups continue to be under-represented in New Zealand journalism. He says there are very few Asian, Maori and Pacific Island journalists operating in this country, despite the fact a significant part of the population is made up of those three races.
