Company to sponsor journalist fellows at Cambridge
Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC), an international provider of business services, has announced that it will sponsor two fellowships a year on the Press Fellowship Programme offered by Wolfson College of the University of Cambridge, and journalists from Central and Eastern Europe are eligible to apply, according to a report in the newsletter Green Horizon.
The fellowship program, now in its 16th year, allows mid-career journalists to spend twelve weeks in Cambridge researching a project of their choice under academic supervision.
According to the announcement, PWC Press Fellows will be drawn from countries in the European Union and countries aspiring to join it, and they will work on projects involving press freedom, democratic institutions and new media. Journalists in any medium and from any country who are in mid-career, typically between the ages of 28 and 45, are eligible to apply. The Wolfson Press Fellowship Program does not accept applications from junior journalists or trainees. It is essential for applicants to have a good command of English.
