Print, online, broadcast and photo journalists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tadjikistan,Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are invited to apply for a competition being sponsored by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Deadline: June 30.

Among the competition themes: Concepts and Importance of the Humanitarian Mission in the 21st Century; Principles of the ICRC, and Visiting Imprisoned Persons.

Entries are being accepted in Russian, English and state languages of Central Asia. Entires must have been published or aired between January 1 and June 18, 2010.
