Competition to recognize outstanding work in communication

The U.S.-based International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is now accepting entries from journalists and/or professional communicators for the 2009 Gold Quill Award. Deadline: February 3.

The Award, which aims to cross communication disciplines, contains categories including: economic, social and environmental development; community relations; management and crisis communication; publications; multilingual communications; electronic and digital communication; and social media, among others.

This contest is also open to members and non-members of IABC, photographers, graphic artists, students and more.

Winners will receive a personalized award, a ticket to attend the awards ceremony to be held in June in California, an individual recognition in the July/August issue of IABC’s magazine, Communication World, and more.

Entries must be sent to IABC's headquarters at 601 Montgomery Street, 19th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94111, United States, or by fax +1 415 544 4747. Fees to enter the competition range from US$270 (for members) to US$370 (non-members).
