Journalists can attend a conference in Venezuela.

Communication and development will be the focus of the Biannual Congress of the Asociación de Investigadores Venezolanos de la Comunicación (InveCom). The conference will take place in conjunction with the second Seminar of the Amazon Basin of the Asociación Latinoamericana de Investigadores de la Comunicación.

The event will run April 29 - 30 in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. Interested participants can register to attend the conference or can choose to present papers for evaluation and publication.

Papers submitted to the conference must not have been previously published or submitted to another conference for evaluation. In addition, papers should directly relate to any of Invecom’s Working Groups (WG). The working groups will address issues including corporate communication, cyber journalism, communication in public policy and scientific public communication.

The deadline to submit paper summaries is March 1. The deadline to register and to send completed papers is April 1.
