Print, online and broadcast journalists can compete for the Prêmio Estácio de Jornalismo.

Estácio, a private educational institution, is launching the third edition of its journalism awards. It seeks to promote reporting on higher education in Brazil and broaden the country's focus and understanding of the subject.

Works must have been published or broadcast between June 11, 2012 and June 10, 2013 in print (newspaper and magazine), television, radio or Internet.

The two main categories are national media and regional media, with prizes ranging from BRL$8,000 (about US$4,000) to BRL$12,000 (about US$6,000).

The application deadline is June 11.
