Women journalists worldwide can be nominated for an award.

The International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF) is currently seeking nominations for its Courage in Journalism Awards and Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Courage in Journalism Awards honor women journalists from all over the world who have demonstrated extraordinary strength of character in pursuing their profession under difficult or dangerous circumstances.

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a woman journalist whose determination has paved the way for future generations of women in the media.

The winners will receive cash prizes, which have yet to be determined, and will travel to New York and Los Angeles to attend the award ceremonies.

Materials may be submitted in English, French, Spanish or Russian. Self-nominations will not be accepted.

The deadline is March 1.
