Journalists from Ukrainian national and regional media can participate in this contest.

The International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) and the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine have launched "Discover the modern library," a contest on the best coverage of the modernization of libraries. The aim of the contest is to demonstrate the value of modernized libraries in Ukraine and to support the work of journalists covering these developments.

Submissions must be in Ukrainian, Russian or English, and broadcast or published in print or online media after February 1, 2012.

The main prize is the opportunity to participate in the BBC's multi-platform ethical journalism training (.pdf) in May 2013. In addition, all winners will receive tablet devices and diplomas.

The application deadline is February 15.
