Students and journalists can participate in the 10th Abecip Journalism Award.

Organized by the Brazilian Association of Real Estate Savings and Loans (Abecip, in Portuguese), the award aims to recognize the work on issues related to real estate financing, funding sources for the housing market, and social responsibility in construction and financial education.

This year the competition will accept works by college students, with a BRL$2,000 (about US$2,000) prize. The awards for print journalism and electronic range from BRL$4,500 (about US$2,250) to BRL$ 6,500 (US$3,250).

Entries must have been published or broadcast between Sept. 9, 2012 and Aug. 31, 2013. The deadline to apply is Sept. 10.
