Course for journalists to focus on the strategic role of water

Latin American and Caribbean journalists are invited to take part in a training in Santiago, Chile, focused on the strategic role of water for the development of Latin American and the Caribbean. Deadline to apply: March 6, 2009.
The course, “Policies for sustainable water utilization and efficient provision of related public services," will examine regional challenges facing water management and use; discuss management and service provisions; and analyze relevant national and local case studies in the region.
The training is schedule to take place from April 20 to 30. Application fee is US$600.
The course is organized by the Institute for Economic and Social Planning for Latin America and the Caribbean (ILPES, in Spanish), in collaboration with other organizations.
