Course teaches methods of reporting on power

An upcoming course in South Africa seeks to arm participants with the skills required to investigate corruption and cover complex issues. Registration deadline: August 20.
Organized by the Wits Investigative Journalism Program, the training has three streams: entry-level, advanced, and computer-assisted reporting. The workshop will be held three times: from September 3 to 5 at Wits University, on September 7 at Rhodes University, and on September 10 at University Stellenbosch.
The fee for the program is ZAR1,500 (about $70). There are some bursaries for which journalists, preferably community media reporters, may apply.
