Course on tech tools for reporting in crisis now open [Worldwide]

An online course is now available to teach journalists how to use technology to respond quickly to crises.
In this three-week online course, journalists will learn how to use technology to be prepared for natural disasters, create early warning mechanisms and monitor elections and human rights violations. This emergency management course is presented by Tech Change: The Institute for Technology and Social Change and will take place from September 5-23.
Participants must expect to spend a minimum of five hours a week on learning emergency management skills outside of the designated one hour lecture. The cost of the course is US$350 and the deadline for applications is July 15.
