Course on urban development reporting open [Brazil]

Journalists interested in covering urbanism issues can attend this all-day course in São Paulo.

The fourth Urban Development Course for Journalists will be held on Aug. 17 by the Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalists (Abraji, in Portuguesse) and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy.

The course provides an introduction to the concepts of urban economics, the science that explains phenomena such as the composition of land prices (and real estate) and recovery mechanisms for investments made by the government.

Registration costs BRL$40 (about US$20), which includes lunch and coffee breaks. The deadline to register is Aug. 9.
