Course will teach South African photojournalists to create photo stories

Date: 3/28/08

Working and student photojournalists interested in being challenged to look harder and think more deeply about the people and places they are photographing have the opportunity to enroll in a hands-on course in photojournalism being offered by the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism in South Africa. By the end of the full time, five-day workshop, participants will have created, shot and edited their own photo story. Participants will also meet with and discuss the work of award winning photojournalists. The course begins on April 21.

Each photographer will be required to have photographic equipment -- digital or film. At the end of the course participants will exhibit their work for invited guests and local professionals.
