Deadline approaching: Financial seminar fellowship open for business journalists

Business journalists can apply for a fellowship to attend a four-day seminar in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism presents "Strictly Financials," an intensive study of financials and accounting.

Twelve business journalists with at least two years professional experience will receive US$2,000 to cover training, lodging, materials and most meals, as well as an additional US$500 to offset travel costs.

Fellows will learn the essentials of financial reporting, covering topics like the stock market, bonds, financial statements and company research.

Applicants must work for media outlets in the United States or work abroad for outlets serving a U.S. audience. To apply, submit an application form, resume, short bio, statement of interest and letter of support.

The deadline is November 1.
