Deadline approaching: free journalism training for high school teachers [US]

High school teachers and staffers in the US can participate in a free two-week intensive journalism training course.
The Reynolds Institute, sponsored by the High School Journalism Initiative and the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation, aims to enable teachers to produce outstanding scholastic journalism publications. The topics covered include reporting, ethics, layout and design and privacy. Both newspaper veterans and newcomers are eligible to apply.
Participants have the option to participate in one of five locations: Arizona State University; Kent State University, Ohio; University of Missouri, Columbia; University of Nevada, Reno; or the University of Texas at Austin. Dates for these programs can be found here.
The program, available to 175 educators, is free for teachers and schools. Travel, housing and materials are all included.
