Deadline approaching: Journalism and natural resources fellowship [Worldwide]

Deadline:

6/8/11

Journalists interested in natural resources issues can apply for fellowship in Washington state.

The Institutes for Journalism and Natural Resources, a not-for-profit organization, is accepting applications for a weeklong learning expedition at the Puget Sound Institute.

The fellowship is designed for reporters and editors interested in in-depth coverage of issues that affect growth, economic development, rural communities, natural resources and the environment.

IJNR awards fully-funded fellowships to working reporters, photojournalists, writers, editors and producers, including some freelance journalists. In addition, some fellowships are awarded to students enrolled in professional journalism and environmental sciences programs. The program is open to non-U.S. citizens.

The expedition will take place from July 8 to July 15; email applications are preferred.
