Deadline approaching: national security fellowship for journalists [US]

There is a fellowship available for a US journalist interested in the role of social media in the military and national security.
The Medill National Security Journalism Initiative, hosted by Northwestern University, aims to produce actionable research on topics of national security, defense and civil liberties. It also hopes to inform journalistic practice and increase public engagement on these topics.
The fellow will receive a US$45,000 stipend plus benefits during the six months of research. Residency at Northwestern’s campus is preferred but not mandatory. The fellow will be expected to participate in university life and engage with scholars and professionals.
Strong applicants will have a demonstrated interest in journalism and an innovative project proposal. For more information, click here.
