This Spanish-language course is aimed at editors in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas will offer a new course called “Editors in Times of Internet,” from March 14 to April 24. It will be taught by Colombian journalist María Teresa Ronderos, editor of Semana.com and a former president of the Foundation for Press Freedom (FLIP).

The goal is to open discussions with editors about the difficult challenges of their profession in a changing world as they face the growth of new media and the decline of traditional media.

The class will be conducted entirely online and is divided into weekly modules containing audiovisual presentations, weekly exercises, online discussions, forums and additional assignments.

Students selected to participate will be asked to pay an administrative fee of US$50. Applications will be accepted online until February 28.
