Press Alliance journalism fellowship open [Southeast Asia]

Journalists from 11 countries in Southeast Asia can apply for a fellowship.
The Southeast Asian Press Alliance (SEAPA) is now accepting applications to its 2013 Journalism Fellowship Program.
The program is open to nationals of Southeast Asian countries who are interested in exploring and producing in-depth stories on the issue of Internet governance.
Journalists who are nationals of Southeast Asian countries (Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, East Timor and Vietnam) with at least five years of experience in writing for print, broadcast or online media, either as staff or freelance writers are invited to apply.
The fellowship program runs from August 12 to August 31.
Story proposals should concern an issue in a second country (not the applicant's country) in Southeast Asia. Other requirements include three work samples from the last 12 months. Applicants who have demonstrated interest in human rights, democracy and/or governance will have an advantage.
The application deadline is July 10.
