Sports journalists from Iberoamerican countries can register for a workshop on sports writing to be held on November 20 and 21 in Medellín, Colombia. Deadline: October 16.

Participants will examine sports events and identify examples of the most useful writing styles. Representatives from the region will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of sports journalism in the region.

The workshop has 10 spots available. Participants must be Iberoamerican journalists with at least three years of experience in sports journalism. They will also attend the International Seminar of Sports Journalism, scheduled for November 17 to 19, in anticipation of the XI South American Games in Medellín 2010.

The event is organized by Fundación Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano (FNPI) along with the o XI South American Games in Medellín 2010.
