Deadline extended: Journalism contest open [Africa]
Deadline:
Media and communications professionals who are nationals of African states can enter a competition.
Future Agricultures Consortium (FAC) will host a journalism competition to find the best media reporting in Africa on young people and agriculture for its upcoming conference in Ghana on the theme of "Young People, Farming and Food."
The competition seeks entries from print, broadcast or electronic journalists between the ages 18-40 who investigate the challenges and opportunities associated with young people’s engagement in agriculture, showcase success stories and best practices that can be replicated and raise awareness on the important role of young people in agriculture and rural development.
Journalists who submit the best print or best broadcast piece will receive a funded trip to the conference in Accra and the opportunity to report on sessions during the conference.
Besides the winning entries, the top ten selected pieces will be published and promoted regionally, internationally and on the FAC website.
The deadline has been extended to February 23. The conference will be held March 19-21.
