Deadline extended: Journalism exchange program [Germany, US]
Deadline:
American print, broadcast or online journalists can apply for a two-month fellowship.
The International Center for Journalists seeks U.S. applicants for the Arthur F. Burns Fellowships, an exchange program meant to increase public knowledge and understanding about Germany and the U.S. through mass media.
Ten reporters from each country will be placed in newsrooms of the other country to produce articles for domestic and foreign audiences.
Each fellow will receive a US$3,800 living stipend and an additional US$1,200 for airfare. The program also covers lodging in Washington, D.C., for a one-week orientation session in July.
Applicants must be between 21-37 years old. German language proficiency is strongly encouraged, but not required.
Apply by March 5.
