Media professionals and digital entrepreneurs in the Arab world can participate in this contest.

Qualcomm is seeking applicants for its Ideathon competition, which aims to showcase the best of regional entrepreneurs with great ideas to an enthusiastic crowd of investors, incubators, media and digital professionals.

Submitted ideas must be related to Web and mobile technology, and should not be already-functioning start-ups.

A panel of judges will review the submissions and shortlist the finalists for the competition. Judging will be based on the following criteria: value proposition, target market, competitive advantage, business model and innovation. Based on the results, 10 finalists and five runners-up will be chosen.

Finalists will receive one free pass each to the ArabNet Beirut Conference, and will be given the opportunity to present their ideas. Finalists will be announced March 7.

The deadline is February 26.
