Documentary filmmakers ages 35 and younger who speak Russian can attend this summer school in Moscow.

Summer Film Academy, founded by the actor and award-winning movie director Nikita Mikhalkov with the financial support of The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, takes place July 21 - August 25.

The course will cover themes including image processing, the theory of montage, shooting, lighting and composition in movie production. Course instructors are professors of Moscow and St. Petersburg's universities.

Organizations will cover educational fees, accommodation, meals, internal transport and cultural programs for selected participants. Participants must pay travel expenses, cost of visa and health insurance on their own.

Deadline for submissions is June 1.
