Quito, Ecuador, will host a seminar on journalism and challenges of the new digital environment from November 23 to 27, which will feature an international panel discussion on meeting the challenges of the new digital culture.

Among the seminar's goals: to identify trends in digital journalism around the world; examine the challenges of print media in the era of globalization and technological change; discuss digital technology tools; and more.

The seminar will include a workshop series on the architecture of Web sites, weblog design and creation, new approaches to news coverage, investigative reporting and the use of Internet sources, digital newspaper design, multimedia production and more.

Latin American and Caribbean journalists can apply for a full scholarship, which covers airfare, offered by the Organization of American States.
