Editorial cartoonists worldwide can participate in this contest.

The World Press Cartoon group is accepting entries for its 2013 contest.

All editorial cartoon entries must represent events and issues that appeared in the news in 2012.

In addition to the editorial contest, participants may submit work in two additional categories: caricature and gag cartoon. Submissions in the caricature category should be strictly humorous portraits, and those in the gag cartoon category should feature subjects that are not directly related to current issues.

The top three winners in each category will receive EUR€3,000 (US$4,000), EUR€2,000 (about US$2,500) and EUR€1,000. (US$1,330). The grand prize winner will receive EUR€10,000 (US$26,600).

The deadline is January 31.
