The International Journalism Awards Rey de España are open for entries.

Contestants can submit one story each for the print, TV, radio and digital journalism awards. Photography applicants can submit a maximum of three photos.

Entries must have been published in Spanish or Portuguese between September 1, 2010 and August 31, 2011. The deadline for applications is September 30.

Journalists from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, United States, Guatemala, Equatorial Guinea, Honduras, Israel, Morocco, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay , Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela are eligible.

Individuals may participate in the following categories:

• Iberoamerican Journalism Award, Rey de España. It will be given to the work that contributes to improve the communication and mutual understanding between the Iberian people. It must have been published on internet, print, or broadcast media. The winner will receive EU€ 9,000 (about US$ 12,700).

• International Journalism Press Award, Rey de España (EU €6,000, about US$ 8,500).

• International TV Journalism Award, Rey de España (EU €6,000, about US$ 8,500).

• International Journalism Radio Award, Rey de España (EU €6,000, about US$ 8,500).

• International Journalism Photography Award, Rey de España (EU €6,000, about US$ 8,500).

• Rey de España International Prize for Digital Journalism (EU €6,000, about US$ 8,500).
