Environmental journalism contest open [Spain]

Journalists who report on environmental issues can participate in this contest.

The Doñana 21 Foundation announces the XIV Doñana National Journalism Award for Sustainable Development, which aims at recognizing journalistic works that disseminate information about the environment in any geographical area of the Spanish territory.

The entries should focus on sustainable development, the relationship between man and nature, or the balance between conservation and social and economic development.

Entries can be submitted in the categories of press, audiovisual, or photography, and must have been written between January 1, 2012 and February 2, 2013.

The winner will receive EUR€1,500 (about US$2,000).

The deadline is February 11 at 2:00 p.m.
