Journalism students from all over Brazil are invited to this event.

Environment experts, activists and journalists will gather June 4 to 7 at the Semana Estado de Jornalismo Ambiental in São Paulo. The event is organized by publisher Grupo Estado.

The program will feature discussions on the major challenges in environmental preservation and lectures on rivers, dams, forests, recycling, sustainable development and more.

Students who have 100 percent attendance at the event will be able to compete for the Tetra Pak Award for Environmental Journalism. The competition's theme will be announced during the event.

Grupo Estado will choose six finalists to visit a forest reservation in Paraná state and have their story published on Portal Estadão. The grand winner will have his or her story published in Estadão's print version and will travel to Sweden to visit the country's forests.

Participants must register through the coordinators of their journalism school by May 24.
