Writers worldwide are invited to enter a global essay competition on the theme "the morality of profit." The first place winner will receive US$20,000. Deadline: February 28.

In light of the global economic crisis, a "discussion of the morality of profit is timely," according to the organizers, the SEVEN (Social.Equity.Venture) Fund.

The second place winner will receive US$10,000 and third place US$5,000.

A selection of the best submitted work will be published.
