EU citizens are invited on Ukraine fact-finding trip [Europe]

European Union citizens, including journalists and journalism students, are invited to are invited to participate in the Eurobus 4 program: European Youth to Ukrainian Communities.

The program, sponsored by the International Renaissance Foundation and Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, will bring young leaders from the EU27 to rural Ukraine.

The participants will have meetings with youth from rural locations in Ukraine, conduct informal discussions on issues of Ukraine’s European membership and participate in activities with local youth groups.

The initiative is aimed to break the stereotypes about Ukraine and the EU; encourage youth activity in rural Ukraine and provide rural youth with information about opportunities for self-development both in the EU and Ukraine.

The project will provide participants with accommodation (partly in host Ukrainian families, partly in hostels) and food. Eurobus will also reimburse a part of the travel costs. The project launches on May 5 in Warsaw, Poland with preparatory training, the journey across Ukraine runs from May 8-27. There are no language requirements, though speaking Russian or Ukrainian is an advantage.
