European Geosciences Union offers fellowships
Deadline:
European journalists who report on earth, planetary and space sciences can apply for a fellowship.
The European Geosciences Union (EGU) is accepting proposals from journalists who report on ongoing research in the geosciences.
Proposals should demonstrate potential broad public appeal, preferably that feature leading Europe-based researchers, and outline an original, creative and well-informed approach to the portrayal of the subject.
The winning proposals will receive up to EUR€5,000 (about US$6,500) to cover expenses related to the project, and assistance in liaising with scientists.
The winning journalists will publish at least one substantial item reporting on their project. Products could include text, still or moving visuals, or audio, and may be published in any European language. The winning project must be completed within 12 months of the date of the award.
The deadline to submit proposals is November 12.
