Fellowship brings European journalists to U.S.

Date: 8/12/11

Journalists from the Europe are invited to apply for a fellowship in the United States.

The Transatlantic Media Fellowships, sponsored by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), give fellows the opportunity to spend three months in the U.S. The aim of the program is not daily news coverage, but to help fellows gain insights into the diverse attitudes of Americans.

Fellows usually spend one month at CSIS in Washington, D.C. and are then based at schools of journalism in other areas of the United States, with extensive opportunities to travel. Fellows operate with complete editorial independence.

Candidates may come from any European country, must speak fluent English and will preferably work for an influential media outlet at the local or regional level. Applications may be submitted at any time, there is no deadline.
