Fellowship program for minorities open [Middle East]

Journalists, human rights activists and community leaders who belong to a minority group in the Arab world can apply for this fellowship.

The Minorities Fellowship Programme (MFP), launched by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), offers minority community leaders the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in the field of international human rights.

The fellows will be based at the OHCHR in Geneva, Switzerland, participating in briefings on several topics including the UN system, OHCHR work and human rights mechanisms. Fellows will also undertake individual and group assignments. Fellows will receive a return ticket from the country of residence to Geneva, in addition to basic health insurance and a stipend.

Interested candidates must have a good command of English if they are willing to apply to the English-language component. Otherwise, they can apply to the Arabic-language component.
